Thanksgiving

18In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18, KJV

Now is the time when people around the world will plan their menus, set their tables and fill their homes with decor for the harvest festivities. Pumpkins and fall leaves and vegetables will be found in every home, for this is the time that most have deemed the Season of Thanksgiving.

As Christians, however, every season, month, day, and hour ought to be spent in thankfulness to the Lord. Every moment and circumstance should be seen as an opportunity to give thanks to God. Even in times when there is no bountiful harvest.

But, since this is the time that so many have set aside specifically to give thanks, I want to make sure that reverence is given to God for the provision of all things. So, for the entire month of November every daily scripture, devotional, and morning inspiration will have the theme of thanks and praise to God. They can all be found on a special, temporary page titled “Thanksgiving“.

It is my prayer that during this time we will find a new level of praise and worship as we reflect on the provision of the Lord.

Be Blessed and Happy Turkey Day!
